Bethany Nursery is here to share with you, the experiences and excitement of gardening in the Pacific Northwest!
From the first blooms of the season till the last leaves have fallen from the trees, we are here to make gardening easier, more enjoyable, and fun for the whole family!

We are open year round and offer over an incredible variety of plants and gardening supplies.
Annual and perennial flowers, organic vegetable starts, ornamental grasses, flowering trees and shrubs. A huge collection of pottery and garden art, organic soils and fertilizers, tools, seeds, and lots of products guaranteed to make your garden grow.

In addition to the retail garden center, we also offer landscape consultations and design services, complete yard renovations, and landscape maintenance services.

Summer Kid's Events @ Bethany Nursery

Being new parents, with a two year old boy at home, my wife and I are always looking for new and different things to occupy our time with. Things that are fun and educational for our son, and for us as well. The need to get out and find new outlets for entertainment is what gave us the idea to offer kid's events through the nursery. My wife, the director (previously a kindergarten teacher) of Swallowtail School (a local, non-profit Waldorf affiliated school in Hillsboro, OR.), has many years of experience working with children and was excited for the opportunity to help the nursery out, setting up a few events for the summer.

My son, wife and I will be offering the following events for the summer (with more to come for the fall and winter months)...

Scavenger Hunt / Garden Crafts – ALL AGES - FREE
Saturday, July 11th - 10-11:30am
Come join us for a Scavenger Hunt and Garden Crafts Class.
We will be having a scavenger hunt here at the nursery and afterwards the children will be making magic garden wands/stakes and pinwheels for their garden at home (all materials will be provided). Simple snacks and refreshments will also be provided. All Garden Art / Décor will be 20% off during this event.

Our Backyard Friends – ALL AGES - FREE
Saturday, July 25th - 10-11:30am
Who or what are some of the animals in your backyard? How do they benefit your garden? Come join us for a discussion on how animals can assist us with having a healthy and beautiful garden. We will be making homemade birdfeeders and birdhouses. A garden walk and discussion on butterfly and hummingbird plants / gardens will be given. All butterfly and hummingbird plants, birdhouses and birdfeeders will be on sale for 20% off during this event. Simple snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Build your own Scarecrow Class – ALL AGES - FREE
Saturday, August 15th - 10-11:30am
Come celebrate harvest season here at the Nursery by building your own scarecrow for your garden. All materials provided (if you have some or all of your own clothes that you would like to use, please feel free). We will be having a vegetable garden walk to show and explain how and why we grow our own vegetables here at the nursery. Simple snacks and refreshments will be provided. Each child will be able to walk away with a bag or box of veggies from our own garden here at the Nursery! All Garden Tools will be 20% off during this event.
